This is "Starry-Starry Night" by Stitchin'spiration. My first finish in 2006. Obviously I've been a bit busy with other things than cross stitch this year! Finally things have slowed down for summer, giving me some much needed stitching time!
This is my second finish for 2006. It is "Heart Two Heart" by Nordic Needle. It is my first attempt at hardanger (note the words 'hard' and 'anger'). I've always been fascinated with this type of needlework, but scared to try it. The kit has been in my stash for about 8 years. I actually bought this kit in person at Nordic Needle when we were visiting Fargo, ND for a job interview many moons ago. I'm quite impressed with the end result, although I could improve on the cutting...looks a little fuzzy there on the left! This post is a huge event for me. I'm not one to put my thoughts on paper, let alone pictures!
As my friend, Carey, and I discussed once upon a time...it would be terribly embarrassing for someone to read after my departure from earth and see how dumb I really am!
But, anyways, I'm going to give this blogging business a whirl with my stitching. I've been in a bit of a slump, and thought this may add some zest to my stitching life! Accountability is a great motivator...
