Happy 2009!

Well, here it is the 13th day of the New Year, and I'm finally posting! I've had goals rattling around in this little mind of mine, now it's time to review old goals and make new ones.

  • knit/crochet ANYTHING!

  • Stoney Creek Heirloom Stitches

OK...I thought it would be cool to blog more in 2009. I have simplified my life by canceling my web hosting/domain name...so now this blog is the only place I have to post stuff. I was constantly feeling guilty about that...now I don't anymore!

I am currently obsessed (in a good way) with my current BAP...Tulip Medley. I am so obsessed with this puppy, that I figured out the total stitches and how far I am...then if I did 100 stitches/day how long it would take to finish (6 mo) if I did 200/day (3 mo). Well, I was bummed when I realized the stitch count on the cover was wrong, and there was about 10,000 more stitches than the 40,000. OK...so 50,000...I am 1/2 done for sure...so that leaves me with 25,000. So every time I complete 5 squares or 500 stitches, I am 1% closer to being done. Told you I was obsessed! 100 stitches/day is very do-able...but I don't like it taking 6 months...so I'm trying the 200/day...I would love to have this done before grandbaby #2 is born the end of April.

As for knitting, I certainly have enough yarn to motivate me. I love listening to Mark Gungor Radio. This is a daily radio show on the internet that discusses marriage relationships. But, in listening to this program, I have learned so much about personalities. And I have learned about myself. I am a perfectionist, therefore, I am waiting for the perfect time to knit my first sock and do it perfectly...I've set my standards high...too high. But, interestingly enough, I read on another blog, of a person who also has the yarn, needles, and instructions, but just can't cast on and get started! Interesting!

Here's my latest picture on Tulip Medley...

I just need to chill out and enjoy the journey!
