I traveled to Minnesota for my daughter's baby shower. Weather is always a factor when traveling to the Midwest in January/February. Luckily, my travel days were good, did have one snowy day while there...kind of fun! What wasn't fun was my flight being diverted to Salt Lake City for an emergency landing! But I survived...the pilot did a great job.
Here's a picture of pregnant daughter, Kelly...

And my grandbaby...

Here's an update on the Pooh birth sampler....

Sorry the pic is on it's side...looks like Tigger is crawling. I'm almost finished with Piglet, so I guess this pictures really isn't up to date! OK, let's call it a progress pic, then I'll have something to show you sooner than these 1 month posts! I did make a mistake on Piglet, but I refused to frog his whole head...so I cheated...and I'll evaluate later today whether I need to frog it or leave it...ugh!
Did I ever mention that the best part of flying into Minneapolis is that I drive right by Stitchville USA? On my return drive, I swung by and spent an hour fondling fabric and thread and charts....and no hubby sitting out in the car waiting for me...pure heaven! Here's what I got...

I got Papillon Creations Simple Little Quaker, The Sweetheart Tree Cherry Blossoms Biscornu Pincushion, the Trilogy Secret Flower Bed. Kreinik Custom Corder, a pack of plastic floss bobbins, some Mill Hill Petite Seed Beads, and a Zecca charm Scissor FOB...also an assortment of fabric...2 pieces of star sapphire, 2 lambswool, 1 Queen Anne's lace, 1 Chai Tea, and 1 Ray of Light...way fun. Good thing I had a shopping list, it was very confusing at times!
Now I'm busy preparing life for my next trip, which will be when the baby is born. It's a busy time of year with tax preparations...I'm waiting for one last 1099 and then I can mail the envelope to our tax preparer. We also have two funerals to deal with in our community this week. Plus, our son is planning on coming home from college for the 3 day weekend...
Hey world, take a deep breath and slow down!
