2007 is almost history....

Unbelievable that 2007 is almost over. The year has flown by! It's been a wonderful year, really it has! Even December was great with all the hustle and bustle. Last time I blogged, I hadn't made a dent in being ready for Christmas, but, surprisingly, the Tuesday before December 25...that would be the 18th...I scratched my head and realized I was finished with the preparations!

The tree (and house) got decorated. The tree was simple, but I did take time to pull out more decorations and set them up throughout the house...made it very cozy...kind of had the old midwest feel...countryish, if you know what I mean. I spent one whole Saturday baking cookies...did a batch of the rolled out sugar cookies (with frosting) and I made these delicious cookies with one end dipped in chocolate...yum! I also made some rum balls, which tasted like little bites of chocolate cheesecake.

Our Christmas card turned out to be very fun. We had a traveling nativity at our church, and we had real animals on hand. So we took the opportunity to take some pictures with the animals.
DS put a little collage together using Photoshop, uploaded it to Costco, and wha-la! Christmas cards are finished!

I did make a little bit more progress on VS Christmas Village, although I did not get as far as I had hoped during the holiday season. I did put it away until next year...maybe there will a wee bit of Christmas in July??

Sorry about that blurry picture....

Goal setting for 2008 has been frustrating! There is sooo much I want to do/try! I keep going around in circles.

2008 Goals...
  • Bent Creek Snappers (full year together)(kitted, ready to go!)
  • Bent Creek Big Zipper (haven't started the latest section yet)
  • Leisure Arts Winnie the Pooh Birth Sampler (started yesterday, 12/29)
  • Stoney Creek Heirloom Stitches (twinkle in my eye)
  • Ink Circles Cirque des Circles (decided on fabric and thread!)
  • ornament x 3
  • learn how to knit socks
Non-stitching Goals...
  • complete making picture CDs for my kids
  • make an online photo gallery
  • organize photos on my computer
  • finish my diet
  • lots of practice being a grandma
Thanks for your patience and reading this entire post. As a public service, I will end this post and come back another day and elaborate on my goals.

toodles...
