Needle Nick is done! He was a major pain in the tush since Day 1, but at least he is finished now. Stupid stuff like thinking the floss is included in the kit (silly me!) to not ordering enough of the specialty flossies (silly me to not read the **notes**) forgetting to save fabric to cover the bottom cardboard...that's just a few of the highlights! I didn't put any cording on the seams (for now).
I was a naughty girl. I bought a few stash goodies. I can, of course, justify my actions. I was the pianist for a big Christmas production at church. We performed three evenings. With all the practicing involved, plus various people dropping by the house to practice their solos, plus some verbal abuse...I felt justified. That was my thank you gift to myself for a job well done. Sorry I had to pat myself on the back, but nobody else did. Oh well. End of story.
So what did I get? Well, I ordered a few things from Stitching Bibs and Bobs....new book "The Proper Stitch", VS Christmas Village, and Long Dog Samplers Paradigm Lost. So, then I had to order fabric for Christmas Village...got the recommended Smokey Pearl Cashel Linen from Needlecraft Corner. First time I have ordered from this shop, I was very impressed with the service!
Have a Merry Christmas!
